The Council of Europe (Strasburg) advocates freedom of expression and of the media, freedom of assembly, equality, and the protection of minorities. It has launched campaigns on issues such as child protection, online hate speech, and the rights of the Roma, Europe’s largest minority. The Council of Europe helps member states fight corruption and terrorism and undertake necessary judicial reforms. Its group of constitutional experts, known as the Venice Commission, offers legal advice to countries throughout the world.

Since 2008, Faro Venezia has brought together a group of Venetian citizens who have activated a series of actions aimed at promoting the Faro Convention and encouraging its implementation. It arises from the citizenship claiming the need to update the tangible and intangible heritage of the house-courtyard as a model of sustainable city -socially and environmentally- of the Mediterranean Europe. Cordoba is presented as a model for the application of an innovative urban regeneration strategy, which seeks to build a city with the citizens and can be replicated in other Mediterranean areas.

The Casa del Cinema is the Venetian cinema dedicated to historical films and art films. We have chosen four cinemas to screen all the winning and finalist films in grindhouse mode.
